On your first visit to us, we carry a comprehensive dental examination. This takes around 60 minutes, and costs no more than a fee for a regular consultation. This is what happens during your initial appointment.

We take a thorough medical and dental history |

We carry out an intra- and extra-oral soft tissue examination, including an oral cancer screen and a careful gum health assessment |

We examine your jaw joints and bite to assess whether the way you bite is damaging your teeth or is causing you head or neck pain |
|
We examine the hard tissue (your teeth) |
|
If necessary, we take X-rays of your teeth and intra-oral photos to help us diagnose any problems |
|
We may take photographs of your mouth |
|
We discuss our findings with you and explain treatment options |
